Fay: You should use this as a post and not a page. The pages shouldn’t only be used for your Fav 5’s. This would be a great post though.
I went to visit my mom and siblings this past weekend and in my typical nosey manner I was looking around to see what new product my mom or sisters may have picked up. I was pleasantly surprised and delighted to find Shea Moisture Tahitian Noni & Monoi Smooth & Repair Nourishing Hair Masque! (Phew…. That’s a long name.) This new product has been on my “To Try” list and since Sunday is my Hair Day, I had to sample it. ( Shh… don’t tell my sister) This was the perfect opportunity for me to try it and see if it is worth me purchasing it.
To start, I really liked the scent of this product. It has a nice subtle floral fragrance. The masque had a good slip (Slip meaning the smoothness of the product going on to my hair.), it has a thick and creamy consistency. I applied it to dry hair but I didn’t want to use half the jar, so I sprayed water onto my hair which helped make finger detangling easier. I followed the direction for a deep condition and sat with it on my hair under a heating cap for 30 minutes.
This product claims to help control frizz, smoothes and adds curl definition, strengthens, repairs and restores moisture, body and shine. It contains all natural ingredients like Shea Butter, Tahitian Noni, Monoi Oil, and Karatin. This is a protein based conditioner so those who are protein sensitive should use caution. Maybe follow up with a good moisturizing conditioner after. I followed with Paul Mitchell The Detangler Conditioner and Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy conditioner.
RESULTS: It actually did leave my hair nice and smooth. It felt so soft and moisturized. I LOVED it. Needless to say this will be my next deep conditioner purchase. I would recommend this product for those who aren’t protein sensitive. Ididn’t use the shampoo, rinse out conditioner along with other product of this line at once. But I am glad I didnt because that seem like a lot of protein in one wash.
